On May 1, an event was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASUU) to launch the joint scholarship program of BP Azerbaijan and PROSOL companies on cyber security training.

According to the information provided to Trend by ASOSU, BP Azerbaijan and PROSOL companies provide 100% scholarships for 60 students within the mentioned program. The scholarship program will be implemented by the PRO-ACADEMY training center.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event dedicated to the start of the scholarship program, Babek Agayev, the co-founder of PROSOL Company and the Chairman of the Board of Directors, spoke about the importance of cyber security in the digital environment, and spoke about the existing shortcomings and problems in this field. Evaluating cyber security as a global process on the national level, B. Agayev noted that there is a great need for personnel who can meet the rapidly growing demands in the cyber field.

Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli, the vice-president of BP Azerbaijan, in his speech spoke about the need for professional personnel for cyber security, which is a new challenge of the digital world, and emphasized the importance of teaching digital knowledge to young people. He also highlighted the importance of my cyber security education fellowship program with PROSOL Company as an important platform.

Nadir Novruzov, head of the Special Communications and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said that cooperation with universities is important in this field and noted that they will support the scholarship program. The head of the department pointed out that the State Service also needs high professionals in the cyber field and that cooperation with the PROSOL Company will continue in this direction.

Then, General Director of Information Security of Prosol company Alikhayyam Guluzadeh gave detailed information about the details and statistics of the current project. It was noted that 60 students out of more than 300 students were accepted into the scholarship program. In the 3-month project, it is planned to hold 5 subjects in the direction of cyber security.
